Linguistic and personal development for high achievers
OISE training programmes are designed for ambitious learners who choose to focus on specific goals: to improve confidence and reach fluency for academic, professional or general purposes.
OISE’s challenging and lively coaching is always in small groups – either Tutorials, Quatorials, or Octorials – which promote rapid progress and build self-assurance.
The Tutorial programme
The Tutorial lesson – the teaching tradition of Oxford University – is one of the most effective methods of language learning. The programme is based entirely on individual lessons. This means that the tutor’s attention is focused on one student, and allows for a perfect match between the lesson content and the learning requirements of the student.
The Quatorial programme
The Quatorial programme – maximum four participants per group – is designed not only to help develop language accuracy but also to allow the participant to overcome inhibitions and to use the language eloquently in all situations.
Learners are exposed to a number of different training situations throughout the day, which mirror the real world and enable the practice of different skills.
The Octorial programme
The Octorial programme – maximum eight participants per group- concentrates on stimulating accurate reactions so that the use of the language rapidly becomes instinctive. Students are exposed to a structured programme of different training situations, conducive to fast progress.
